At Total Definer Beauty Longevity Clinic we combine science, technique and medical and aesthetic judgment to offer measurable treatments adapted to each face. We assess the real cause of your expression lines and design a plan that fits your goals, not the other way around.
What is it?
Botox is a drug that modulates the nerve signal to selectively relax the facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles (forehead, frown lines, crow's feet). It is also approved to soften glabellar lines, crow's feet and forehead lines; and, in case you did not know, in 2024 the label was expanded to include the platysma bands (neck).
How does it work?
Botox temporarily blocks the substance the nerve uses to “switch on” the muscle. With fewer signals arriving, the muscle relaxes and stops frowning; that is why the skin smooths out. With precise doses, it softens without “freezing” your expression.
Benefits
Predictable onset and duration: most people see changes within 3 to 7 days; the effect usually lasts 3–4 months. You can return to your usual activities right away. Quality of life: beyond aesthetics, Botox has evidence for chronic migraine and primary axillary hyperhidrosis, medical indications that we assess case by case.
Types of treatment (how we use it according to your goal)
Botox: classic dosing for the forehead, frown lines and crow's feet. Preventive Botox: a conservative strategy before lines become set at rest; it is discussed in beauty editorials and is indicated on a personalized basis. Masticatory muscles (bruxism): useful for jaw tension and for slimming the lower third of the face. Areas that can be treated: Frown area (glabellar lines). Crow's feet. Forehead lines. Platysma bands (neck).
How do you know if you are a candidate?
You are a candidate if you have dynamic lines that are marked when you gesture, if you want to improve crow's feet, frown lines or the forehead, or if you have axillary hyperhidrosis that does not respond to topical products; for chronic migraine a specific protocol is assessed.
What to expect during the procedure
It is a brief in-office procedure. After antisepsis and anatomical marking, we apply micro-injections with fine needles. You leave with no downtime and with simple care instructions.
Results
Improvement is seen within 3–7 days and settles during the first week (in some cases it takes a little longer). The average duration is 3–4 months, depending on the area, the dose and individual physiology. In hyperhidrosis or migraine, follow-up intervals are defined according to the clinical response.
Frequently asked questions
1) Will I look “frozen”? No, if it is dosed with judgment. We look for naturalness, not stiffness. 2) When should it be repeated? Typically every 3–4 months in aesthetics; for medical indications it is scheduled according to response and guidelines. 3) Can I combine it with other technologies? Yes, after an assessment: at TD Beauty Clinic we work with Morpheus8, Liftera (HIFU) and other procedures to improve skin quality, firmness and definition when they add to the goal.
