What is it?

A medical procedure that uses concentrated light to selectively deactivate hair follicles and reduce hair growth. Precise, safe and designed for smooth, even skin.

How does it work?

The laser energy recognizes the natural pigment of the hair, turns it into heat and deactivates the follicle. Because hair grows in cycles, several sessions are indicated to reach each phase.

Benefits

Lasting reduction of hair and of ingrown hairs. Less irritation than with traditional methods. Quick sessions, even on large areas.

Areas that can be treated

Underarms, legs, bikini line, back, chest, face and more.

How do you know if you are a candidate?

It works best when there is contrast between skin and hair, although current technology safely treats a wide range of skin phototypes. Avoid a recent tan and mention any photosensitizing medication.

What to expect during the procedure

Small “snaps” of heat, with cooling systems for your comfort. Mild redness and temporary swelling around the follicles are possible.

Results

The usual course is 6 or more sessions spaced according to the hair cycle. The reduction is long-lasting; maintenance may be required.

Frequently asked questions

Is it permanent?

It is a lasting reduction, with possible touch-up sessions.

Can I sunbathe?

Avoid tanning before and after to minimize the risk of pigmentation changes.

How many sessions?

It depends on the area and on the color and thickness of the hair; usually 6 or more.
